When you shop on our website:

- Shipping and billing address
- Order history and preferences
- Payment information - processed directly by our payment gateway partner; we do not see or store your card, UPI, or bank details on our own systems
- Account login details, if you create an account
- Basic technical data - IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited (via cookies/analytics - see Cookies & Advertising section below.)
We do not knowingly collect any information beyond what's listed above, and we don't collect sensitive categories of data (health, religion, biometric, etc.) at all.
How We Use Your Information
- To process and deliver your order (including sharing necessary details with our shipping/logistics partner, solely to deliver your package)
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and respond to customer service queries
- To improve our website and understand which designs and pages customers engage with
- To meet our legal obligations under Indian tax (GST) and consumer protection law
We do not sell your personal data to any third party, ever. We do not use your data for anything beyond what's described above.
Who We Share Your Data With
We share the minimum necessary data with:
- Our shipping/logistics partner - name, address, phone number, order details, solely to deliver your package
- Our payment gateway partner - for processing payment; we never see your full payment credentials
- Advertising platforms (e.g. Meta, Google), if you interact with our ads - these may set cookies/pixels to measure ad performance; see Section 4
- Government authorities, only if legally required (e.g. tax filings, a lawful request from a court or regulator)
We do not share your data with any other third party for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies & Advertising
Our website uses cookies for basic functioning (keeping your cart, remembering login) and for analytics. If we run social media or search ads, those advertising platforms may place a tracking pixel/cookie to measure whether an ad led to a purchase. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features (like checkout) may not work properly without them.

You can, at any time:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate details
- Ask us to delete your data (subject to what we're legally required to retain - e.g. GST invoicing records)
- Withdraw your consent to email/SMS marketing - every marketing message will include an easy opt-out, or you can just message us directly

Data Retention
We keep order and invoice data for as long as required under Indian tax law (typically the GST record-retention period). Marketing contact details from website opt-ins are kept until you ask us to remove them or opt out.
Children's Privacy
Raqs is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, contact us and we'll remove it.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data - our website uses standard encryption (HTTPS/SSL) for data in transit, and we don't store payment information ourselves. That said, no online system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
